Audio & Sound System Installation in Bend & Redmond, OR
Whole-home audio, surround sound, and commercial sound system installation throughout Central Oregon. In-ceiling speakers, outdoor audio, and home theater wiring.
Beard Electric installs whole-home audio systems, surround sound setups, and commercial sound systems for properties throughout Central Oregon. Good audio installation is mostly about the wiring — running speaker wire cleanly through walls and ceilings before the speakers go in, so the finished result looks clean and sounds right.
For whole-home audio, we run speaker wire from a central amplifier location to each room where you want speakers. In-ceiling or in-wall speakers are installed flush with the surface and are nearly invisible when the grilles are painted to match the room. Each zone can have its own volume control, and modern systems let you control everything from a smartphone app.
Surround sound systems for home theaters require careful speaker placement to get the intended effect. We position speakers according to the room dimensions and the system’s requirements, run all wiring in-wall where possible, and connect everything to the receiver or processor. We also handle the low-voltage wiring for HDMI, component, and control cables.
For commercial applications — restaurants, retail stores, gyms, offices — we install background music systems and paging systems. Commercial sound systems need to cover the space evenly without hot spots or dead zones, which requires the right speaker selection and placement. We design the system for the room and install it to perform as intended.
We work on new construction and existing buildings. If you’re building or remodeling, the best time to run speaker wire is before the walls are closed — but we can also retrofit audio into finished spaces.
Common questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What is whole-home audio and how does it work?
A whole-home audio system distributes music to multiple rooms from a central source — a streaming device, media server, or amplifier. Each room has its own speakers and volume control, so you can play the same music throughout the house or different music in different rooms. We run speaker wire through the walls and ceiling during installation so there are no visible cables.
Can you install in-ceiling or in-wall speakers?
Yes. In-ceiling and in-wall speakers are the most common choice for whole-home audio because they’re out of the way and blend into the room. We cut the openings, run the wire, and install the speakers flush with the ceiling or wall surface. The grilles are paintable to match your walls.
Do you install outdoor speakers?
Yes. Outdoor speakers rated for weather exposure can be mounted on eaves, fences, or in landscaping. We run the wiring from your indoor amplifier or receiver to the outdoor locations and install the speakers. Outdoor audio is popular for patios, decks, and pool areas.
Can audio be integrated with a home automation system?
Yes. Many whole-home audio systems can be controlled through the same app or interface as your lighting and security system. We can discuss integration options during the estimate.
